VERY IMPORTANT!
The IEEE Camera-Ready Paper and Copyright Release Form Submission System has been opened on July 25. From now on you can submit your camera-ready paper and your copyright release form to the system online.Camera-ready papers should be written in English conforming to the IEEE standard conference format (8.5" x 11", Two-Column) [http://www.computer.org/portal/pages/cscps/cps/cps_forms.html]. Please check the “Letter from the Publication Chair” for detail on how to prepare your camera-ready paper. The system will be closed on August 22 (FIRM DEADLINE).
The URL link of the system:

For most authors, “STEP 8: Final Paper PDF File Submission” is the last step for camera-ready paper and copyright release form submission. Please make sure that all the information provided at this step is CORRECT, due to the fact that, all the information provided at this step will be directly used (without any change) to make the “Table of Contents” of the conference proceedings and then it will be automatically imported into the IEEE Digital Library. Below are descriptions of some of the information to be provided at this step:
Submitter (full name) *: Please put your given name first, and your family name last. Generally, the submitter should be the corresponding author of this paper.
Submitter Email *: Although you are free to choose any email address here, preferably it will be the email address when you previously submitted your paper to our paper submission system. The Submitter Email will be used for our future email communications.
Paper Title *: It should be exactly the paper title appeared in your final PDF file. Please correctly use the upper case letters for the first characters of those words in the title, for example, “A Time-Related Trust Model Based on Subjective Logic Theory”.
Author(s) (full name(s), separated by commas) *: It must contain full names of all authors appeared in your final PDF file, for example, “Yueming Deng, Guojun Wang”.
THE LAST, BUT NOT THE LEAST IMPORTANT IS THAT, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CAMERA-READY PAPER AT STEP 8 ONLY ONCE! IN PARTICULAR, IT IS STRICTLY FOBIDDEN TO SUBMIT THE SAME PAPER (OR A REVISED VERSION) USING DIFFERENT SUBMITTER, SUBMITTER EMAIL, PAPER TILTE(S) AND AUTHOR(S). WE SUGGEST THAT YOU DO STEP 8 (AND STEP 7) AROUND AUGUST 15 WHEN YOU FEEL EVERYTHING IS OK, BUT YOU MUST DO IT NO LATER THAN AUGUST 22. YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW DIFFICULT IT IS FOR THE IEEE CPS EDITOR AND THE ICYCS 2008 PUBLICATION CHAIR TO IDENTIFY AND REMOVE YOUR DUPLICATED/REPEATED SUBMISSIONS FROM MORE THAN 600 ACCEPTED PAPERS FOR OUR ICYCS 2008, TRUSTCOM 2008, IWCSEI 2008, AND IWCFTA 2008 CONFERENCE (ALTOGETHER MORE THAN 1,700 SUBMISSIONS). THANKS FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear ICYCS08, TrustCom08, IWCSEI08, and IWCFTA08 authors,
(Please check the “Letter from the Publication Chair” for detail on how to prepare your camera-ready paper.)
Firstly thank you very much for publishing your work in ICYCS 2008 proceedings by IEEE CPS (Conference Publishing Services).
The following is a URL link to the "Author's Final Paper Formatting and Submission Instructions" Webpage (Online Author Kit) for The 9th International Conference for Young Computer Scientists (ICYCS 2008):
http://www.ieeeconfpublishing.org/cpir/AuthorKit.asp?Community=CPS&Facility=CPS_Nov&ERoom=ICYCS+2008
Below are some tips for you to prepare your camera-ready paper:
TIP1: Please carefully read the format requirements from IEEE CS (Computer Society) and the attached SECTION 1 in this email (Some additional format requirements which may not be found from the IEEE format template files) and the attached SECTION 2 in this email (Some questions and answers between me (Publication Chair of ICYCS 2008) and the person-in-charge for publishing ICYCS 2008 proceedings from IEEE CPS).
TIP2: Although you can convert your paper through IEEE PDF eXpress from now on and thereafter submit it to IEEE CPS before? the FIRM DEADLINE (August 22), I suggest that you only do the conversion NOW and postpone to do the SUBMISSION later. If the IEEE PDF eXpress tool shows that there isn't any problem for your paper, then you can submit your final paper any day before August 22, but I suggest that you will do it before August 15. Notice that, after August 22, there is no way for you to submit or update your final paper.
TIP3: At STEP 8: Final Paper PDF File Submission, the FILENAME should be the conference/symposium/workshop acronym (ICYCS2008/TrustCom2008/IWCSEI2008/IWCFTA2008)+paperID+paper title.pdf. Below is an example filename:
ICYCS2008-620-Quantitative Evaluation Model for Survivability in Large-Scale MANETs Based on Reliability Theory.pdf
TIP4: Around AUGUST 23-24, we will check the ENGLISH and the FORMAT for each final paper submitted to the IEEE CPS system, if we found that there are apparent ENGLISH and/or FORMAT problems in your final paper, then your final paper will be removed from the system but we will NOT refund your registration fee. In this case, of course, we will contact you immediately through your email address which was previously used to submit your paper to our paper submission system.
TIP5: In priciple, it is not allowed the change the authors info (including the order, affiliation, the addition or removal of an author, etc). However, if all authors agree, it is still OK to do so. In this case, please make sure to send an email to our conference email address (icycs2008@gmail.com); if for TrustCom-08, please send it to trustcom2008@gmail.com); if for IWCSEI-08, please send it to Prof. Tianzhou Chen (tzchen@zju.edu.cn); and if for IWCFTA-08, please send it to Dr. Hai Yu (chn_yuhai@yahoo.com.cn).
In addition, it is also possible to change the title of your paper. If you change the title of the paper, please send an email to us for the change.
Thanks for your co-operation. Hope to see that we will publish a high-quality proceedings through all your great efforts!
Best regards,
Publication Chair
Guojun Wang

SECTION I: Some additional format requirements which may not be found from the IEEE format template files:
(1) Please do not use the footer and header in the camera-ready paper;
(2) Please do not number each page in the camera-ready paper;
(3) For the format requirement of "Keywords", which will appear right after the "Abstract" section, please use the following format:
Keywords: keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, ..., lastkeyword.
Please use uppercase letter for the first word of the first keyword; for all other words, please DO NOT use uppercase letter. Below is an example:
Keywords: Interconnection network, hypercube, routing algorithm, fault tolerance.
The "Keywords" section is to be in 10-point Times, single-spaced type, and 3-5 keywords in length. The word "Keywords" itself is to be in boldface type but the 3-5 keywords are NOT to be in boldface type. In addition, please leave one blank line right before the "Keywords" section, and also one blank line right after the "Keywords" section.
(4) As you know, we DO NOT number "Abstract" section and "Keywords" section, and usually we begin numbering "Introduction" section as the first section, for example, "1. Introduction". It is also very usual that we DO NOT number "References" section. In addition, if you provide? "Acknowledgment" section, please also DO NOT number it, which should appear between the conclusion section and the references section. Please write your funding support information and other acknowledgment information in this section (if needed).
(5) If you have any question regarding format problems or others related to the publication, please send emails to me (csgjwang@gmail.com). Please DO NOT call me (there are too many calls these days...)

SECTION II: Some questions and answers between me (Publication Chair of ICYCS 2008) and the person-in-charge for publishing ICYCS 2008 proceedings from IEEE CPS:
-----
I have several questions about this Author Kit Link:
(Q1) In the Author Kit, it shows "PDF eXpress will be available for use on 8 August 2008". However, just now I tested it and it works now. Does it mean that the authors can use it now and then submit their camera-ready paper? and copyright form now?
(A1) YES, CORRECT.
(Q2) In the Author Kit, just now I tested by submitting a WORD file. According to my experiences in using IEEE Author Kit before, I remembered that the "IEEE PDF eXpress" can also convert Latex files. However, in the Author Kit, it seems that it does not explicitly show the authors how to specify the type of their source files (WORD, Latex, or something else). Could you tell me whether it is possible to add such explicit prompt information?
(A2) PDF FILES, ONLY, SHOULD BE SUBMITTED, NOT WORD OR OTHER TYPES OF FILES. THE SYSTEM DOES NOT CONVERT THESE FILES. FURTHER, ALL AUTHORS SHOULD SUBMIT THEIR FILE THROUGH PDF EXPRESS FIRST AND THEN SUBMIT THEIR FILE TO OUR SYSTEM. NOTE THIS TOOL IS ADMINISTERED BY THE IEEE, NOT CPS. ALL AUTHOR INQUIRIES, ETC. SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE SUPPORT ADDRESS LISTED.
(Q3) About "Renaming your PDF file for submission":
Since we have around 634 accepted papers for both the main conference and the symposiums/workshops, it may be difficult for us to use naming convention such as "smith-UrquhartCLogic.pdf" in order to identify each paper uniquely and easily. If it is possible, could you help to change from the original information to the following information?
-----
When naming your file, please use your conference/symposium/workshop acronym, your paper ID in the original paper submission system, your last name, followed by a keyword from your paper title. For example, the filename for J. Smith submitting the paper to the main ICYCS conference with paper ID "168" titled: "On Urquhart's C Logic" would be icycs08-168-smith-UrquhartCLogic.pdf.
If you are submitting two or more files, please number them: icycs08-168-smith-Urquhart1.pdf, icycs08-666-smith-Urquhart2.pdf, etc. For the second file, here we assume that the paper ID is 666.
For ICYCS08 symposiums/workshops, please use their acronyms correctly, which are TrustCom08, IWCSEI08, and IWCFTA08 respectively.
(A3) THE INFORMATION IN STEP 6 IS INOPERATIVE. WE WILL BE REMOVING THIS FROM THE AUTHOR KITS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. TELL THE AUTHORS TO IGNORE THIS, AND FOLLOW STEP 8 FOR SUBMISSIONS, WHERE THE FILE NAME SHOULD BE THE PAPER TITLE. I AM SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION.
(Q4) We found that it is in fact very common to have 3 to 5 keywords for a conference paper. However, in the IEEE Proceedings format template, it does not have this "keywords" section. In order to make our proceedings have the same look and feel, I hope to add the following formatting requirments for the authors. Do you think it is OK to do so?
-----
For the format requirement of "Keywords", which will appear right after the "Abstract" section, please use the following format:

(A4) WE WILL BE PUBLISHING NEW, UPDATED TEMPLATES SOON. IN THE MEANTIME, YOUR INFORMATION ABOVE WILL BE FINE. THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS.
